YAMAHA ELX-1m Flagship Console Electone - The only one in the U.K.

Following in the footsteps of the legendary GX-1, the ELX-1m is probably the last of the true bespoke 'Flagship' console Electones built to the very highest quality. It is a truly remarkable instrument that has been an utter thrill and dream to own and play. Treated like the Crown Jewels from day one, it looks and feels totally wonderful. Please also realise and remember this is the rare and much newer '1m' model and not the original ELX-1 (made from 1991-98) and as such is 10 years younger with sound quality, features and technology even better and beyond that of the EL-900m.  It is the only one in the UK being one of about half a dozen exported outside of Japan and would have had a UK RRP in the region of £30,000! This instrument exudes class and quality with a real sycamore wood panel and a body finished in pearlescent white making it as stunning to look at as it is to play and is simply one of the finest instruments ever made. 

Included with the sale will be the user manuals, service manual, console cover, original bench, power transformer and although currently fitted with a USB drive (as shown in pictures 6 and 7), the sale will include the original floppy disk drive - which can be reinstalled easily on request plus a brand-new Yamaha floppy drive for a spare. Also, to ensure its future longevity, it will also come with several brand-new replacement boards and parts including a CPU and Motherboard (and floppy drives as already mentioned) that I originally purchased simply to give piece of mind for the future – although I am reliably informed the vast majority of parts are available anyway.

It is time for this truly wonderful instrument to go to a great new home where it'll be played regularly, loved and enjoyed. But, I am under no pressure or indeed in no rush to sell and will only entertain serious buyers who take into account what a rare and truly special instrument this is along with the brand-new spares included in the sale.

Overseas buyers are welcome but I insist on PICKUP ONLY (from Kent in the south-east of England) in person - I am not willing to risk crating and shipping. The instrument is heavy and very precious and will require a van with plenty of blankets and at least 2 (strong!) people to lift it! Although the bench and pedal-board can easily be separated, the rest of the instrument DOES NOT dis-assemble.  I will of course be able to give a complete demonstration of the instrument and then to assist in loading.
